One of the responsibilities of the deacons is to serve as helpers in our church food pantry.  Our food pantry is open on the first Thursday of every month from 9:00am til 11:00am.  Two deacons from the team on call that month are to be there to help carry groceries, give a good word to those folks who need help, and to provide a caring and secure environment.  Most months Don Brodie and Harvey Rothell, Deacon Team Captains 2 & 3 respectively, man this post for the deacons.  'Hats Off' to these guys for their leadership and dedication to this vital ministry of our church.  And 'hats off' to all of you who bring food and bags to church that help with this ministry.  Please keep up the good work!

This month of December we will again have our "White Christmas" offering during our Christmas program, so be sure to bring a canned good (or goods) wrapped in white paper and ribbon to place under the tree.  This is always a great kick-off to our food pantry in a time when it is most needed.
