From the Pastor
As you read this article, I am in Birmingham for my daughter’s wedding. Sherry and I are looking forward to receiving a new member into the family. Ozzie is a wonderful young man who is a great fit for Kristen.
We are in the midst of our Annie Armstrong Offering for North American Missions. Our church has the privilege to join with thousands of other Southern Baptist churches in supporting missions in the United States and Canada. Incredibly, three out of four people in North America do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our giving and our praying support over 5,000 missionaries. I encourage you to be liberal in your giving and in your praying. The Lord is allowing us to give at least $5,000 for North American missions.
I am continually thankful for the wonderful church family called First Baptist Church. We are a unique creation of God, and, we have a unique purpose in His kingdom! As we walk this journey with Him, remember the keys to our journey within: humility, honesty, repentance, holiness, and obedience.
I am grateful for David Spence. He will fill the pulpit in my absence this coming Sunday. Come and worship with him!
Mark

Youth News
Youth of the Week
Kie Robinson Jones is a 9th grader at Forsan High School and is the son of Dana and Tammi Jones. Clem and Dottie Jones are Kie’s grandparents. Kie has attended FBC his entire life. He accepted Christ and was baptized here in July of 2001. Kie enjoys tennis and reading and wants to attend Texas A&M school of Veterinary Medicine. Kie has accepted the call to the ministry and feels led to become a missionary. Join Kie in praying that he can grow in his walk with God and follow Him fully wherever He leads.
Our youth had a great time during Disciple Now. We want to thank all of you who had a part in providing food, transportation, or helped in any way. We always know we can depend on our “family” to help whenever there is a need.
Because of a very generous donor, we have our bus for camp! This person wishes to remain anonymous, but we must thank them publicly. If you were planning on giving to the youth, there are still some things that need to be purchased, so we encourage you to give. We will not have anymore fund raisers this year.
God is good...all the time...all the time...God is good.
