First Baptist Church is continuing to following local, state and national guidelines for safety during COVID-19.  If you feel sick, stay at home.  In the event that you attend anything here at First Baptist Church and receive a positive test for COVID-19, we ask that you contact the church to let us know so we can assist you in contact tracing and notification as it relates to church activities.  Strict confidentiality will be maintained at all times.  


In consolation with First Baptist Church Big Spring's insurance provider and in following with CDC guidelines as well as seeking to provide for the well being of all who may enter the church facility or participate in church sponsored events, and in consultation with church deacons and staff, First Baptist Church Big Spring has implemented the following policies related to notification and safety measures in a variety of scenarios.  The policy can be downloaded below.

july 27th UPDATE

The following is the August schedule update proposed by staff and endorsed by the deacons.  This begins Sunday August 2nd.  Download the letter at the bottom.  If you have any questions, email is at help@fbcbigspring.org or call the church office at 432-267-8223



In the interest of strengthening the fellowship and mission of our church, 

we will enact the following measures.

1. Beginning Sunday, August 2, we will return to a full Sunday morning schedule on campus.

a. All Sunday School classes (Nursery to Adults) will meet at 9:30 a.m.

b. Each class will be responsible for "social distancing" in their room.

c. Nursery Care for three-year-old and under will be available during

    Morning Worship at 10:50    a.m. 


2. Sunday Night Worship will resume on Sunday, September 13. 

3. Beginning Wednesday, August 26, we will return to a full Wednesday night schedule on campus.

    a. Wednesday Night Meal is 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will meet in the

    Family Life Center gymnasium.

     b. Adult Bible Study and Prayer is 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the Chapel.

     c. Children and Youth activities are 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

     d. Adult Choir is 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m.

Hand sanitizing is required; face masks are recommended but not required. Each person is responsible for maintaining "social distancing" for his/her own protection. Unless circumstances warrant, we will continue this schedule through 2020. 

Of course, constant evaluation of the COVID climate is ongoing.
