relief efforts

First Baptist Church Big Spring, TX is partnering with First Baptist Church Midland, TX  to send requested supplies to support Williams Boulevard Baptist Church in hard hit Kenner, LA.  Supplies are being distributed to their church family and surrounding community.

Supplies must be at FBC Big Spring by 6pm Wednesday September 8th to get on this first trip out as FBC Midland will be delivering the supplies.  Williams Boulevard's facilities suffered significant damage and these supplies will assist in relief efforts as well as getting much needed supplies to the community that has been hit very hard.   The following is a list of the items they have requested.  Items may be dropped off at FBC Big Spring during office hours or on Wednesday night when you come to church.

Hygiene products (shampoo, soap, etc)

Cleaning supplies (Clorox wipes, disinfectant cleaners, etc)


We are requesting you drop off supplies in the FBC Big Spring Gym.

Journeymen Church

Eric Sanford is the founding church planter for Journeymen Church in Denver Colorado.  Journeymen is reaching the Lowry neighborhood of Denver.  First Baptist provides ongoing financial and prayer support for this new church plant.  They meet weekly for worship, host small groups in homes during the week and serve extensively in their community in order to facilitate a robust disciple-making culture in their community.

blessed hands baptist church

Blessed hands is a church for the deaf in Big Spring, Howard Country, and the surrounding areas. Pastor Jim Walterhouse and Blessed Hands meet for worship weekly at 2pm in the chapel of First Baptist Big Spring. Blessed Hands also ministers on the campus on Southwest Collegiate Institue for the Deaf, (SWCID) a college for the hearing impaired in Big Spring with students from all around the world. First Baptist provides ongoing financial, prayer, and other ministry assistance to Blessed Hands.

crossroads baptist association

First Baptist also parters with The Crossroads Baptist Assocation in serving Big Spring, Howard, Glasscock, and Martin Counties. This partnership includes ongoing giving and other mutual ministry support between First Baptist and Crossroads Baptist Association.
