Come and join us next summer for an incredible mission trip to Anchorage, Alaska. Anchorage is a city of great diversity. There are over 100 languages spoken in Anchorage schools. From the GraceWorks website:
"Partnering with local churches here, we facilitate mission volunteers and church teams working direct with non-churched children, youth and adults in local parks -- feeding meals to the hungry, backyard Bible school, sports, games and crafts. Most of the neighborhoods we work in are amazingly multi-ethnic. Three out of the top five most diverse communities in America are in Anchorage, Alaska and we work in all three. Our goal is nothing less than a multiplying, church planting Jesus Movement here in Alaska."
GraceWorks is a cooperative mission program between Alaskan Baptist Churches and the North American Mission Board. We intend to make this a partnership between our church and GraceWorks
We will be working in parks and neighborhoods using music, games and Bible stories to teach children and youth about the transforming message of the Gospel. this trip isn't about painting and building and roofing, but rather about relational ministry. Talking and interacting with people and sharing the great news about Jesus.
This trip is open to youth, families, college and Adults. Please sign up at the youth table in the back hallway or in the youth room. If you have any questions, please contact our youth pastor, Roger Stafford, for more information.
